It’s not always easy.
It’s not easy fighting for yourself.
It’s not easy questioning doctors or friends or even family who may be trying to be helpful in their own way.
It’s not easy to turn away from Dr. Google and the forums.
It’s not easy to stay consistent when you aren’t even sure if something is working.
It’s not easy to find motivation some days.
It’s not easy to admit you are scared and don’t know what to do next.
I am so humbled every time I see a Zoom client or read a message in which someone tells me “I saw a doctor. I have tried to do my own research. But it’s just left me scared and now I feel stuck. I don’t want to live like this but I don’t know what else to do.”
Or when I hear “I don’t know if it’s working but I want to keep trying. I don’t want to give up.”
These are words I hear every day and I am here to remind everyone THIS IS NOT YOUR ENDING.
Far from it.
Just yesterday I saw a new virtual client whose doctor informed her to “forget about the surgery. You’ll just end up needing three more in the future so learn to live with it.”
She admitted to me she doesn’t know if surgery is right and mostly just needs someone to listen and truly hear her concerns and help her overcome her fear of this new condition.
If something in your gut is telling you there is more to it, follow that inner voice. If you want more answers, keep searching for them.
Believe in your ability. Believe in your strength. Believe in the process, even when you want a quick fix. Believe in the steps you are taking every day.
Don’t ever ever ever believe it’s too late or you’re too old or it’s a lost cause!
There is ALWAYS something to be done. Always ????.
