Rest.

This month we aren’t talking about just resting your body with our Sunday rest day on the exercise calendar (even though that’s important too!).

This month we are talking about true, deep, body, mind and spirit, rest.

I have a personality that wants to fill space. I have never been good at sitting still. It’s a skill I’ve learned over time, but even when I find myself pausing to enjoy a moment of rest, my brain keeps going.

Over the past few years this has started to catch up to me and I’m realizing a need for true and real rest.

This is easier said than done but it’s important to put effort into resting in our body, mind and spirit if we want to fill ourselves back up and continue to live life to the fullest!

Remember, it may not be easy, but rest is necessary for our own strength and health.
